I suppose the world of rugby has opened my eyes to so many things. Playing the game has made me grow. Not so much physically, although my thighs are starting to resemble sides of ham, but more mentally. You have to be responsible to play rugby. Responsible for your position, for supporting your teammate, for contributing to your team's efforts to make an impact in the game. Stressful to say the least. Mind-meltingly frantic at its worst. But the strongest steel is forged in the fires of Hell. Or as it is modernized, the most powerful ring of all is forged in the fires of Mt Doom.
So when the fires of lactic acid burn through our thighs and shoulders, we dig down deep to find the last bit of strength to pull through, because of responsibility.
Also Hongkong in winter is a bitch. At least you expect it to be cold in the Bay Area. I was prepared to go to the US. I had my Ravenclaw sweaters and scarves. I had more layers than...something with lots of layers. I had to BUY jeans and leggings in Hongkong. Good thing it is a land of Giordano and H&M and Cotton On and other cheap basics. I hate being cold. My fingers are always the first to freeze because they're so skinny. Low surface area to volume ratio. Or is it high. *shrugs* Math is neither my cup of tea nor my barrel of beer.
Anyway I'm tired of being cold. I love the warmth of Singapore and the possibility of going out in the lightest of clothing and not immediately perishing of hypothermia. If I stayed in a country with four seasons, I'll probably make like a duck and fly away for the winter.
Movie Review: Scott Pilgrim VS The World! Awesome show. Awesome series of comics. Living your life like a video game with buffs and enemies that explode into coins? Scott Pilgrim, immature dude though he is, manages to have an awesome life. Unfortunately, this movie didn't really screen in Singapore except for a few shows at a few cinemas so SUCKS FOR US as we step a little closer to cultural suicide. But look for the comics and DVDs at HMV. Or online if that's the way you swing, you bloody pirate.
That shall be all for now. Because Morpheus creeps ever closer and his lullaby entices me ever further down the road of waking death. In layman's terms........I'm sleepy. G'night y'all.
