Awesome results for our first tournament and first real games. WOOTS.

As Amanda so delicately put it, we totally "milked the nehnehs out of the SIM scrums" so that more than makes up for the scoreline. So LEGENDARILY AWESOMEEE.

Geez I'm still freaking high.

Omgeese I just turned 21.

Purple Heart.

SUniG Women's Contact Rugby Results

NTU vs SMU: 5 - 0
NTU vs NUS: 10 - 12
NTU vs SIM: 7 - 10? 12? 14? (Okay I can't remember whether they manage to convert. Amnesia.)

I don't know why I didn't discover contact rugby sooner. The rush is amazing. Even after you come out all banged up and bruised and scraped and swearing you never ever wanna do that again, you know you will because the feeling of being part of a team that storms over everything in its way is like being a T-Rex. Top of the food chain. The big Kahuna. You take what you want and cream the opposition. Fucking power.

I'm still riding the rush. But it's slowly dissipating and the pain is setting in. Abrasions, bruises, cuts, blisters, sprained thumb...I'm a walking first-aid dummy.

I ended up being a 2nd row forward instead of a back. Now I think I fit in better there cos I like to just grab the ball and RUN instead of passing and doing funny M1, S1, DSP, etc moves. Mainly cos I can never remember which moves are which and when to do what. Lostness prevailed. I shall stick to playing as a forward even though it hurts more. *Stupid scrums*

I fully intend to show off my bruises because they are medals of valor and grit in the face of adversity. Neener neener neener.

NTU are the bowl champions of SUniG '09!!! YAYYY!!!

Sleep now. ZzzzZZzZZzzZz.

Tarnished.

I'm looking forward to:

1) SUniG rugby matches tomorrow. I think I'm a forward now. Uh oh. But apparently I do more damage there than as a back.

2) WEDNESDAY.

Those will be the fun parts of this week.

I'm really a little emo now. I wish I wasn't. I wish I was more elmo than emo but stuffz keep going through my mind and I don't have any more clue what to do about them than a hippo knows how to moonwalk. Sighz.

I want to clear things up but I don't know if what I'm doing is right...I'm afraid of hurt. After all...you're still my friend.

A CENTURY OF POSTS.

I've been waiting a loooong time to make this post cos I wanted it to be special. And I needed to get 2000 words of moral education cogitation out of the way first.

100!!!

I never thought I'd reach this day. I want to thank my parents for bringing me up to have the perseverance, my teachers for teaching me how to write and most of all, the fans out there! I love you!

Alright inane moment over.

I'm done with 2.5 1.5 (shitz I am le tiredz) modules and it feels pretty good. Feel a little more liberated now (NO MORE EARLY WEDNESDAYS!!! Sleepz iz good). Like going bra-less when you sleep.

Oops. Or maybe not.

I think the sports psychology test was incredibly screwed up and none of us were ready for the examination equivalent of a wrecking ball that hit us in the form of a 2-hour midterm TEST. Who has a 2-hour test??? I've done exams in less than 1.5 hours. One good thing about it though: IT'S OVER.

Class chalet/bbq/banquet/feast/poker marathon to look forward to!!! It's gonna be sooo much fun = like a whole roll of bubblewrap. Woots.

Last session of RockJazzDance and Salsacise this week. No more groovin' and movin' to the music. Sigh. I miss dancing already. I shall groove on my own time.

To conclude, I leave you with some saxophone shredding AWESOMENESS.
Thank You.

3. + 2.

The beginning of a new week.

Everyone's magic crazy all of a sudden. Is that fairy dust in the air irritating everyone's sinuses?

I've been eating waayyyy too much for someone who's supposed to be fasting. It R not good. "Stop eating so much!", exclaimed the alimentary canal.

With words like those, I should totally be writing children's books.

Class chalet/21st birthday celebration coming up!!! EXCITEDNESS! It's gonna be a rockin' partay. And to think I wasn't actually planning on doing anything. Maybe just a night out with Bee. Now, under the influence of Mr Sexy Saxophone with swollen ankles, I'm having an all-out BBQ chalet party. WOOTS.

Alert to class: NOBODY is allowed to get smashed and puke salmon sashimi everywhere. Even if Mr Sexy Sax gets us free flow beer kegs. I'll make sure I play poker with whoever gets smashed first. And win all their hari raya money.
*I think I've been hanging around Caleb way too much.*

Before the big party, however, I have a test and essay due next week. Which I haven't even begun to do. I have started studying for the test but for some inexplicable reason, I fall asleep when I get to the part about Motivation. The irony gods strike again.

OH! My first Sunig contact rugby match is on the 27th of September! I am going to get hammered by many fierce people if I don't run fast. This is extrinsic, situation-oriented motivation going on here. Trust me, I am going to run like a bat out of hell if someone the size and shape of the Hindenburg is trying to drive me nose-first into the ground. We haven't been given positions to play yet so I hope to GOD and whichever deities are listening in that I'm not playing forward. *pleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasePLEASE*

I think that's all the updates I have for now. Exciting weeks ahead! *Does a happy dance* *Does a happier dance on bubblewrap* *Bubblewrap pwns*

PS. Ran the Mizuno wave run on sunday. 10 miles. Pros: Nice event tee. Nice scenery in Peirce Reservoir. Cons: Not enough water (one water point actually ran out of water). Ran on roads which were not blocked and had to stop at a few traffic lights. Ended on a freaking slope.

4.

My blog has molted;

shed it's skin and risen from the peel.

Such nice, new, scaly skin it has now.

:D

And I did it aaaaaaaaaall by myself.

Sure it's simple but it's so me.
It, you know...BOOMS.

5.

This is the 95th post. I deserve a long-service award for staying this dedicated to a blog. Hold your applause please.

Anyhoo...

The inaugural Yellow Ribbon Run took place this very morning and it was one of the best runs I've ever participated in. Not only was it meaningful ("Unlock the second prison"), the race route helped me set a new PB for 10km. ^^ Not bad for a morning's work which included insufficient sleep and the aftereffects of poker. There were performances and free ice cream and severely discounted Crocs (which I couldn't get a piece of cos really who runs with a load of cash in their pocket) and a band formed of prison inmates performed and they ROCKED. They were as good as any live band actually. One of them actually played the sax and there was another playing the...uh...something else. HOW COOL IS THAT?! I declare the switch for ROCK to now be in the ON position! Woohoo!

Plus I got a lot of cool stuff in the goodie bag. Ha. Always worth a run if you get free stuff afterward.

So, now I'm back in hall, awaiting a very dreary soccer-less week. Note to self: Begin AED essay tout suite.

Oh yes. Rugby training was on as usual on Saturday morning. The bruises on my arms make me look like a victim of abuse. Or a very aggressive tickler. The sport is starting to grow on me. The more I learn about it, the more I realise how much brain power is actually needed to fuel a game and the more I appreciate it. Maybe it is rugby and not soccer that they play in heaven.

Aaaaand that's all folks.

24 Hours.

I'm not very sure what to blog about.

School's been good. Having lots of fun being retarded, thanks to the influence of a certain abang. Or two.

Rugby and soccer are the best games in the world to play. You get to run around a lot and do telepathic stuff with your teammates. Excellent Jedi training.

Did line outs and scrums for rugby today too. Although I was "dropped" twice out of the two times I was lifted for the line out, it's still good fun.

Funny thing happened during a game of touch, during rugby lesson this morning. I was chasing after a loose ball and Don was in front of me playing on the opposing team. His soccer defender persona took over and he tried to clear the ball by kicking it and he ZHAM-ed the ball right into my stomach just over my hipbone. OW. I ended up on the turf, winded because 1) the ball whacked the wind outta me and 2) I was laughing really hard. Hehe. It was an action sequence that wouldn't be out of place in Looney Tunes.

Don was like EH sorry! Are you okay??? Hahahaha you okay anot??? Hahahaha...

LOL.

And I ran with Bee today. After school. Around NTU. It was nice. :)

Unrelated to the aforementioned Bee, Jacq and I smushed 3 bees which invaded our room last night. Jacq smushed 2 on her own with a tennis racket and after radioing for backup in the form of me with a badminton racket, she managed to take out the 3rd. There are now 1.5 bees under my table because 2 landed on my pin-up board and that ended up as their final destination. The remaining 0.5 worth of bee guts + a wing are in my dustbin. Because they were smooshed on my board. No...Thank YOU, Destroyer.

Another cartoon action sequence. Two hysterical girls flailing around with tennis and badminton rackets respectively, trying to shoo a bee out of a rather small room. It would've been funny if one of us whacked the other. Hehehe.

Alright. I think that's enough rambling for now. Updates aren't particularly mentally stimulating, whether to read or to write. I'll come up with something more fun soon.

Peace Out.
