I haven't blogged in such a Cretaceous time! And I think too many things have happened in the period that I went missing so I shall continue as though I never left...
In the middle of attachment to Damai Primary now! It's an awesome school. I wasn't so crazy about it last year but now that their principal has changed and the new one talks World Cup with us plebs (Viva Espana!), I think the school rocks. The pupils are pretty well-behaved and enthusiastic about PE in general (score 1 for sports for all!) and as far as I can tell, all is well in the staffroom. No daggers flying into people's backs, no arrows being shot across the room, no clandestine war councils convening in dark corners...the Rainbow will be proud.
Despite being led astray by the distractions of Muggledom, I have recently rekindled my love for the Boy Who Lived, spurred on by Average Wizards and Witches. I swear, within a week of discovering the site, I went from a gear-one-meh-normal Harry Potter fan to turbo-charged-plus-Nos-want-to-fly-to-Florida-obsessed HP geek. O.o And I am quite happy with that.
I can't believe I forgot how special the series was to me. I used to order the books so I could read the new ones as soon as they came out and my nose would be glued to them the whole day, even while eating. My mom would try to talk to me and then 5 minutes later I'll go "...err...huh?" and make inarticulate grunting noises like "rrhrmm mmhmm" and she'll tell everyone in my family that it's official: I'm useless till I'm done reading. Harry Potter is magical. ~8)
Harry Potter: Defeated the Dark Lord, rid the world of evil, demonstrated courage, loyalty and strength in the face of adversity and had a sense of humour.
Edward Cullen: Sparkles.
P.S. I just remembered I got a little owl for my birthday a really long time ago! I'm gonna dig him out now and carry him around in case of magic-related emergencies. I shall name him.......Dylan.
