I was just sitting here...listening to my stomach growl...when it occurred to me that I really should add a post to my long-neglected blog that is more thought-provoking than "Australopithecus must have been really sick of us". Though you really have got to love that word: Australopithecus. It's going on my list of favourite words next to laissez faire, flocinaucinihilipilification and applet.
So...LIFE. It's treating me pretty well I suppose. The timetable is slack. The Bee is making me very happy. The shopping is done when the salary allows or even when it doesn't (which is frequently). What more can I say? I am happily rearing fish and assorted livestock in Fishville and on my Island Paradise. Who knew you could find alpacas on desert islands?
I know, I know. I'm probably one of the last two people in the world to watch Avatar, but watch it I did. With Bee. In headache-inducing 3D. Okay maybe it wasn't so much the 3D effects that caused my brain to throb but more the plethora of scratches and stains found on the 3D glasses that obscured my vision and made Pandora look like it was constantly being fogged. Like Eywa created some nasty little bloodsucking beasts and set them loose to torment the Na'vi who then started spraying BeastOff all over the floating mountains...
Sorry. Got carried away by the analogy. Anyway, great GREAT show. Ranks all the way up there with Sherlock Holmes and Invictus in my Shows of The Past Two Months list. At the bottom of the list is probably New Moon. Chipmunks go in the middle. Fun...but not AWESOME.
There. A fairly substantial though slightly fluffy post for perusers of this blog. Back to being hungry.
I am AFB until further notice. School is busying me. Among other things...
Our whole universe was in a hot dense state, Then nearly fourteen billion years ago expansion started. Wait... The Earth began to cool, The autotrophs began to drool, Neanderthals developed tools, We built a wall (we built the pyramids), Math, science, history, unraveling the mysteries, That all started with the big bang!
"Since the dawn of man" is really not that long, As every galaxy was formed in less time than it takes to sing this song. A fraction of a second and the elements were made. The bipeds stood up straight, The dinosaurs all met their fate, They tried to leap but they were late And they all died (they froze their asses off) The oceans and pangea See ya, wouldn't wanna be ya Set in motion by the same big bang!
It all started with the big BANG!
It's expanding ever outward but one day It will cause the stars to go the other way, Collapsing ever inward, we won't be here, it wont be hurt Our best and brightest figure that it'll make an even bigger bang!
Australopithecus would really have been sick of us Debating out while here they're catching deer (we're catching viruses) Religion or astronomy, Encarta, Deuteronomy It all started with the big bang!
Music and mythology, Einstein and astrology It all started with the big bang! It all started with the big BANG!
