5.
This is the 95th post. I deserve a long-service award for staying this dedicated to a blog. Hold your applause please.Anyhoo...
The inaugural Yellow Ribbon Run took place this very morning and it was one of the best runs I've ever participated in. Not only was it meaningful ("Unlock the second prison"), the race route helped me set a new PB for 10km. ^^ Not bad for a morning's work which included insufficient sleep and the aftereffects of poker. There were performances and free ice cream and severely discounted Crocs (which I couldn't get a piece of cos really who runs with a load of cash in their pocket) and a band formed of prison inmates performed and they ROCKED. They were as good as any live band actually. One of them actually played the sax and there was another playing the...uh...something else. HOW COOL IS THAT?! I declare the switch for ROCK to now be in the ON position! Woohoo!
Plus I got a lot of cool stuff in the goodie bag. Ha. Always worth a run if you get free stuff afterward.
So, now I'm back in hall, awaiting a very dreary soccer-less week. Note to self: Begin AED essay tout suite.
Oh yes. Rugby training was on as usual on Saturday morning. The bruises on my arms make me look like a victim of abuse. Or a very aggressive tickler. The sport is starting to grow on me. The more I learn about it, the more I realise how much brain power is actually needed to fuel a game and the more I appreciate it. Maybe it
is rugby and not soccer that they play in heaven.
Aaaaand that's all folks.
