Flying.
I'm enjoying my holidays.
I picked up my passport yesterday and even though I was like half an hour late for the e-appointment I booked online, I still managed to collect it within 10 pages of Animorphs.
So, slightly stunned by the whirlwind efficiency of ICA, I decided it was too early to go home and toyed with the idea of going to Bugis for some Starbucks. Then, I realised there wasn't much to do in Bugis so I went to City Hall. Bought some Frothy Hot Chocolate and an apple danish at O'briens and sat there hooked up to my iPod and reading #42: The Journey.
(Shorm, if you're reading, this one is one of the funniest. Go read it after you've read my books. Highly recommended. Stupid Helmacrons.)These Messages: O'briens' hot chocolate is one of the best I've ever tasted. Warms you up all the way inside like a whiskey and doesn't make you want to sing off-key and dance on the toilet seat wearing just your underwear.
After finishing my book, I ambled around Citylink, dropped into a few shops here and there, and finally wound up at Marina Square. My final destination. I stood in Times for about an hour or so, reading the books on display. Then my legs complained.
Sooo...to finish off my Sarah-time, I bought a pair of Croc Rios (the red strappy wedges) and 2 Jibbitzes (Skull and crossbones! POTC rules. + "ai".
YES the Chinese character. YES I can still read Chinese.) and a Nike top. Hehehe.
Fun day. Being alone in a crowd. You don't have to answer to anyone and you can do anything. Be anything. Buy anything. Forgot how much I like being alone.
Doesn't mean I don't need someone to be there for me, though. No matter how strong you are, you'll still need someone to hold you up when you're going down. I'm glad I've got my someone.
Miss you so many many much.
