This Exercise Was Designed To Wring Your Brain Dry,

OK I was tagged by sh4uni3 Ang to come up with 25 random things to list down about myself. This exercise was supposed to be done on Facebook notes but, like mr ang, I dislike Facebook notes and would rather all these personal ramblings be writ down and held close forever in the annals of my little corner of cyberspace instead of being the equivalent of the DHL balloon, eye-catching and occasionally squashing the inquisitive.

1) I am supposed to be doing my ICT e-learning assignment now.

2) I've been in school for all of 5 weeks (and counting) and I have only just now found out that ICT means Information and Communications Technology. Wikipedia is a wonderful place. Lecturers, please broaden your horizons.

3) I am 1/8th peranakan, thanks to my great-grandmother.

4) I am also Hokkien but I cannot speak a word of dialect except to ask where the toilet is and ironically, that's in Cantonese.

5) I love animals to death. Do NOT eat shark's fin soup in front of me or I'll hurl chick peas at your forehead and pour the soup down your pants. Do NOT let me see you using fur or animal skins as something for you to put money in because the skin looks better on the animal and NOT under your armpit.

6) I don't consider insects animals. I'm speciesist. I can't help it. How can you love a thing with 6 legs, whose favourite place to hang out is your garbage bin? Weirdly though, I love spiders. They're beautiful.

7) Reptiles are my favourite class of animal. Snakes are my favourite type of reptile. A whip snake is my dream pet. Oriental or Big-Eyed, I'm not particular. They're elegant, docile little creatures.

8) I have 7 piercings altogether in my ears. Stay tuned.

9) I was in Pasir Ris Primary (1-3), St. Hilda's Primary (4-6), Anglican High and Temasek Poly. Now in NIE (duh).

10) I was in Taekwondo in Primary 3, never made it past yellow-tip. Drama club in St. Hilda's, where I played an Indian lady once. Dance Society in Anglican High, where line dancing was all the rage. Rock climbing in Temasek Poly and for life. *Please let me go back to climbing properly, don't screw up my timetables in future, O administrative ones.*

11) I take 20-45 minutes to bathe. Don't ask me why I take so long. I don't know either. I like water. Happy?

12) I haven't thrown away a ticket stub since 2003. I can't find my secret stash now but when I do, I'll put down the exact date I started my collection.

13) Johnny Depp is the best actor since cavemen started paying bones to watch handsome cavemen bonking ugly Uggs to insensibility and running off with their wives. It's an atrocity and a murderous crime that he has not been awarded an Oscar yet.

14) I love Disney. Grew up with Disney, watching Disney, listening to Disney, reading Disney. I still watch Disney on Ice every year. Pixar has only made Disney magic more real. I can tell you that Mickey Mouse is about 107 years old and his name was originally supposed to be Mortimer but I'm still not sure what I have to do for ALS101.

15) My music tastes basically include anything that sounds good. I can appreciate a good melody and meaningful lyrics. Techno is the numbing, headache-inducing bane of my life. Heavy metal scares me sometimes. All the in-betweens are what I listen to. Sometimes even including chinese pop. *GASP*...Jason Mraz is my current favourite artiste. Previous favourites include Good Charlotte, a1 and f4. Do you see what I mean by ANYTHING now?

16) I have a collection of guitar picks. About 50 of them. (74 at last count) Collected when my then-boyfriend was a guitar enthusiast with the proclivity for visiting Davis every other day.

17) Facebook is an immensely useful tool in keeping up with friends in my world. Annoy me and you get POKED. Ceekayaxe and I are already engaged in a prolonged poke war and I am an Extreme Superpoke-r. For the uninitiated, SUPERpoke is better than any normal old poke. I also have the power to hurl poo (Godzilla, dinosaur, Superman, etc...) at you.

18) i used 2 typ liddis until i annoyed myself. Now I advocate the use of proper English both spoken and written. Thank YOU.

19) I have an incurable shoe fetish. This can be explained by the fact that my feet are probably the only part of my body that cannot gain weight and therefore look marginally nice in anything.

20) I have never broken a bone in my body and for that, I thank whichever deity is reading my blog now. The only time I've been admitted to a hospital, besides that time when I was actually born there, is when I had dengue in 2003. I escaped unscathed and before you say it, NO, my mental health was not affected.

21) British-type humour makes me laugh till I wet my pants. Dry wit and clever comebacks make my day. Neil Humphreys and Jeremy Clarkson are columnists nobody should ever kick off their newspaper. Colin Mochrie of Whose Line Is It Anyway gives bald men hope; you can have flair even if you don't have hair.

22) My favourite colour is anything that goes with black.

23) The last CD I bought was Mika's Life in Cartoon Motion, the happiest CD to be produced in these packaged times.

24) I was in the Gifted Program in primary school, hence the shift. You don't have to look so incredulous.

25) This is my 4th attempt at creating a blog, hence the URL.
