Paintball Bruises Take A Month To Go Away.
I realized that the more people that go out together, the more time is spent standing around in a circle, most likely in the middle of walkways and in front of escalators.
Evidence #1:People present: Uz, Jo (birthday girl), Mya, Izan, Uyanga, Khai Arifin, Zico (Uz's cousin), Firos, Chloe, Wak, Wak's brother who's name I never know how to spell (pronounced FeeBee) and Me.
Marina Square: 15min to decide to go, standing in front of paintball place entrance.
Burger King: 1hour to decide to eat, spent walking around Marina Square; 15min to decide WHERE to eat, next to escalator.
Bowling: At least an hour after leaving BK, from wanting to go to the Marina barrage to finding out it was raining to assuming the final position of standing in a circle near Anderson's ice cream. This does not include the time we spent sitting in BK building fry towers.
Arcade: 5min for the bowling alley person to tell us we had to wait half an hour and for us to look opposite. I beat them in a game of Daytona~~~(HAHAHA in your face guys, especially Zico. You and Khai won the first round anyway). Jo and I played the Lost World game. Screamed like crazy and shot at the PMS-ing T-Rex until our forearms got pumped. Brilliant. The arcade is a wonderfully mindless place.
Esplanade: A full game of bowling + about 15min standing around, again near an escalator. We made an excellent choice. There was a guitar + saxophone duo playing at the stage by the river.
THEY WERE INCREDIBLE. They played songs like
Sway,
Can't Help Falling In Love,
Fly Me To The Moon...Imagine these songs, molded by the twinkling, trickling notes of an acoustic guitar, accompanied by the sultry sounds of the sax, sung by a very pleasant, melodious voice...it was heaven, just sitting there and absorbing the music.
I wished bee was there so badly. He could have swayed with me.Evidence #2:People present: Tiah Hui Wen, Kumaravel, Faizal, Jacq and Me.
Stood, sat on the floor and eventually got shipped to the benches along the NIE walkways. After being told that there were no more slots available for volunteering for the APERA conference, we left and took
2 hours to decide to
go home. :) Kumar and Faizal regaled us with stories of their f***ed up school days. Stealing fire extinguishers, attempting heists to steal projectors, breaking into lockers, making truckloads of teachers cry on the first day of class...it's amazing that these 2 made it this far. *Applause*
So...the rest of my week suddenly looks extremely empty. Will someone please climb with me??? There's only so much of Pet Society I can take!!!
